ADHD Therapy for Children and Teens (Ages 8-18)
How is the process?
-
Our brief consultation is a 15-minute video call designed to help determine:
What concerns you are currently noticing in your child or teen?
How the therapeutic process works and what support may look like
Scheduling, availability, and practical questions
Whether this therapy is the appropriate level of care for your needs
Whether we feel clinically aligned to work together
This is not a therapy session, and no clinical treatment or diagnosis is provided during this call.
-
The clinical assessment is designed to gain a thorough understanding of your child’s needs, history, and current concerns, to arrive at an evidence-based diagnosis, and to ensure that treatment is tailored to your child’s specific requirements. It involves spending additional time outside of the session on scoring, documentation, analysis, and professional evaluation.
The assessment includes:
Parent interview
Child clinical interviews
Rating scales and executive functions tests
Emotional, developmental and psychosocial history
Parent and teacher questionnaires
Review of records
ADHD symptom assessment
Differential diagnosis
Written clinical report
Personalized therapeutic plan
Parent feedback session with recommendations
Please note: This is a clinical ADHD assessment. Not a psychological or neuropsychological evaluation.
-
Together, we will create a personalized treatment plan designed to address your child’s unique strengths, challenges, and therapeutic goals. Through dynamic activities and creative approaches tailored to their developmental level and interest, we will work on:
Understanding ADHD
Emotional regulation
Executive functioning skills
Organization
Time management
Behavioral strategies
Social skills
Academic success
Motivation
Anxiety and stress
Self-esteem building
Identity and self-confidence
-
Parents play an essential role in supporting children with ADHD.
Consultation may focus on:
Understanding ADHD behaviors
Building effective routines
Supporting emotional regulation
Improving communication
Creating consistent strategies at home
-
At the conclusion of the psychotherapeutic process, we will conduct an objective re-assessment to measure the progress achieved throughout treatment. This process may include standardized tests, clinical observations, and a review of the treatment goals established at the beginning of therapy.
The results will help determine the effectiveness of treatment, identify any remaining areas of need, and guide recommendations.

Executive functioning exercises
Technology-based programs
Creative interventions
Why online therapy?
Engaging and child-friendly: Sessions include interactive activities such as games, drawing, digital whiteboards, and creative exercises to keep your child interested and involved.
Convenient for your family: No driving or waiting rooms—therapy fits more easily into your family's busy schedule.
Comfortable environment: Your child can participate from the familiarity of home. This allows me to observe everyday routines, organizational skills, and environmental factors that may influence their behavior.
Consistent support: The convenience of online therapy often makes it easier to attend sessions regularly, which helps build meaningful progress over time.
Parent collaboration: When appropriate, it is easier for parents to participate, ask questions, and stay involved in their child's therapeutic journey.
